Any techs who worked at Boston children's ?
Hello - hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm looking into risk assurance opportunities at Meta, especially Application Manager, Controls (min 5 YOE) and Manager, Compliance (min 12 YOE). I am a Senior Manager with 9 years of IT risks assurance experience. Does anyone have any thought on which position I should apply? If anyone currently at Meta could share your experience, that would also help. If anyone is open to providing referrals, I could provide my background. Facebook (Meta)
Can someone walk me through a provision

I let them know personally that I was leaving, before handing in my official two weeks. I treated my resignation letter like a “Thank You”. I let them know about specific events/people who helped me grow as an individual and thanked them for the opportunity. They received it pretty well.
2 week notice (or more if you can), be as helpful as possible with off boarding, and thank people along the way.
I was really worried about this and then the CEO fired me out of nowhere for literally nothing after 4 years of loyalty and hard work. My direct boss fought for me and was in tears the whole day it happened and the team was shocked.
Be kind and thankful but don’t overdo it or worry too much - at the end of the day you’re an employee that they can replace and they probably aren’t as loyal to you as you think or you are to them.
1. Locate door. 2. Exit.
Get severance and never look back.
Obviously. Get laid off. Makes no sense to quit if you have a lot of years in especially.
I gave them a month heads up and then sent in a resignation / thank you letter with the exact date I’m leaving. I also offered to help with the transition if they needed (I.e. train new members if they find someone before I left). They were very receptive and really encouraged me to explore other opportunities. Also said I can keep the company laptop they bought for me.
In my case, I was jumping into a break from work so could afford to give an early notice. I think 2 weeks notice that doubles as a thank you email is enough. Something like “we’ll keep in touch, this is not a goodbye forever” etc kinda softens it.
Sobbing. Like I am rn.
Unfortunately yes. There was a few roadblocks on my way to growth here even tho I was really happy at the place. Got offered more money, title, bigger clients. Just couldn’t say no.
Does such company exist?
Ofcause ... What do you mean 🤣
Why are you leaving?
Why would you? Sounds like a great thing.
