Did anyone appear for interview for SAP Analyst/Consultant role recently at deloitte? If yes, how was the experience and if selected, how many days did they take to inform after interview.. People have started in and retired from careers in SAP already. That will continue to be the case for a while.
It will continue as it always have been…busy…
There are so many companies in the world that didn’t migrate to s/4 or even started the sap journey yet, so many clients in other ERPs and so many new companies yet to be created…it is a field with endless work if you are a decent sap consultant
There is always something new being released. I also doubt it’s only going to last another 5 years. A lot of large companies still haven’t moved to S/4 Hana.
It then stabilizes and slows down for a few years and something new comes out and we’re back to high demand.
SAP work will continue to be there for year. But then, IBM Mainframe work is also still out there.
The fact is, value of that work will continue going down, unless SAP comes up a drastic change. Do you think anyone will prefer SAP CRM over Salesforce?
PwC1, yes. I would expect SAP to continue growing through acquisitions. If you’re SAP, or if you’re a SAP aligned sales person, it helps you. However, if you’re a technology person, none of that helps. The good old SAP as you know will be diminishing. The new offerings will be better served by folks who grew up on SFDC and Workday, instead of HANA.
Core SAP ERP work will continue but there is a large variation of skill.
