How do you work with design at your company? Trying to understand how different companies do it!

Not sure I completely understand what you're asking. Can you elaborate or maybe provide a little more context?

I’d like to understand how collaboration with design works at other companies because my current experience is vastly different than my previous one so I want to understand what’s the norm. My previous company design was very much a partner to product vs now design is much less proactive and has fewer insights into users. I was talking about it with a former coworker and she said the designers we worked with are just extremely talented.

We work with the design leads more than the design team and have liaisons for each product dismenate the information from status check ins, product updates etc., to the rest of the team

We usually reach out to design with a specific request or a problem we’re trying to solve. It’s not as collaborative as I’d like it to be. We usually reach out later in the process.

I just had a colleague ask me my opinion on a few cars since she’s buying her daughter’s first car. Went through a few brands trying to get a sense of where her mind was, and as soon as I mentioned VW she said “oh, they’re owned by Mercedes and we had bad experiences with Mercedes years ago.”

Morning all. I am looking for a favour/solid advice. I've been in the interview process for a dream role over the past month or so and just found out I didn't get the job after final round 🙃.

Thanks all
