Lots of poaching from other companies but that's just the way it is in my field.

Agree with this. Its really the only way to get the best talent it seems.

We haven't been a part of or hosted a career fair in the longest time. Used to at the college years ago. From my knowledge it is general applications, if anybody is getting poached, I don’t know about it. Not really sure we have the resources to reasonably poach anyone to be completely honest either.

I work for a big tech company so we have the top talent always applying and often times it's more about sifting through apps rather than going out and recruiting. But we do sometimes poach good people from other places.

Has anyone who's worked in HR, Finance, or another role with visibility to compensation information been able to use that as leverage for salary negotiations?

To put it bluntly, I know certain people with less experience and a lower performance rating are getting paid more than me due to my role working with payroll data. I suspect this was due to the fact that I did not counter offer when I accepted this role, which was a few months ago, and now I regret it.

Hi everybody! 😊
I've been working as a Junior Analog Design Engineer for a year and half.
I received a proposal for a Senior Analog Designer role from Bosch in the same city where I am currently working.
Should I wait and build up a few more years of experience before accepting a Senior role or should I jump in and work to fill the gap?
Next year, there will be an important deadline for the project I'm working on and my resignation could be critical for the team, how would you deal with it?
