I grew up in a nuclear family away from extended relatives who were never really close. Parents were either emotionally unavailable or distant. All I've wanted for myself was a big loving family to call my own.. my parents are unaccepting of my sexuality & my partners family is also quite fucked up so she's isn't super close to them either. Honestly this sucks & it feels like I'll never have a huge supportive family I've wanted & craved for.

Been having trouble moving on since girlfriend ended relationship 3 weeks ago after 2+ years of dating. Before ending it she came over 3 weeks prior to basically give me a chance to work things out and we had a good discussion but then I went back into our routine and didn’t really fight for it or have serious follow up convos that we needed. Now I just have so many regrets that I let her go. I know we still love each other and left on “good” terms but can’t forgive myself for my lack of action.

My family is middle class and I feel inadequate around his family because they’re so wealthy. I feel depressed because I can’t live his lifestyle and sad for our future. Bitter? No. Entitled? No. Maybe taken aback, putting things into perspective. Realizing the friendship was only temporary. You were there when they needed you, but they didn't consider you an actual friend at all.

She sent over a sample ceremony (intro, sweet poems + passages to be read, and example vows), and we read through it last night. I was reading it out loud while my fiancé made dinner, and it just hit me that this is really happening.
