Very good; these are some of the top coders in the world. Comp is better than PM; usually it works out where SWE comp at level X roughly equals PM comp at level X+1.
"Very good" at solving interview questions. General software engineering and technical interview questions are relatively removed from each other.
Coding wise you need to be great with algorithms and data structures, GENERALLY you should be able to solve 2 leetcode medium questions in about 15-20 minutes each while talking about what you're doing aloud.
Pay wise I remember PM and SWE being similar, but check levels.fyi. SWE might be a bit better.
It's really not, just takes a lot of practice. I'm seriously not that smart and I did it.
It’s honestly not as hard as people think, but you do need to grind LC (not similar at all really to what I learned as a CS major)
Practicing tagged questions helps ;)
Good enough that you wouldn't ever question whether you were qualified
Lol no, there's a lot of luck too. If you get an interviewer that just doesn't want to work with you, you might not pass no matter how well you know your stuff, etc. Can very occasionally work the other way where someone gets asked really easy questions too.
