Good or bad time to head out on parental leave?
Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

If they get paid more than enough, then you definitely get paid enough to buy another pair and not whine about it. How about being responsible with expensive things and not blaming others for your mistakes.

And honestly, it's pathetic. My client was Cisco once and I left a very expensive set of earphones in am office overnight, and they were missing the next day. Ticket did nothing. Cleaning crew knew nothing. It was really disheartening because I should be able to trust that everyone who works in a corporate environment should make enough to where they aren't tempted to commit pretty theft. Disgusting behavior.
They get paid more than enough to buy their own, and even if they didn't that's no excuse for theft. I grew up in poverty and stealing was never accepted or championed in my household
So what you conclude is that since I can afford another pair, it's ok to steal from me ACN1?

You are blaming someone else for the loss of your expensive headphones, "pretty theft". Why do you assume anyone stole it? It is more likely you lost it, dropped it on the floor and it just got swept up.
