Anyone looking to sell any Marriot points??
Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

I’d say it’s usually recognized but only occasionally rewarded.
Rewarded at first and then taken for granted imo/experience
Rewarded via more work and a $500 extra bonus
Does this answer your question?
Neither. Usually just raises the bar higher with little to no benefit. If anything, you put a target on your back signaling you're easily exploited.
Be wary if "going above and beyond" ever becomes an expectation.
I’m only interested in going above and beyond if the reward is a promotion. I feel like I’m basically setting everyone up to expect a caliber work from me that is above my pay/level? I’m scamming myself.
Everyone wins if I simply meet expectations.

It’s definitely rewarded and recognized but often the reward is not worth the work
I say it depends.. is that the standard or expectation or not…
Pro
Lol no
Depends how you define it. Going above and beyond the average employee at the firm versus the average employee in industry is going to look different.
Depends but overall, I’d say no.
Recognized, but usually not worth the effort. Working 25% harder for a year won't get you a 25% bonus, raise or promo, for example.
