Squarespace sites are built using their templates so I doubt that’s transferable. Otherwise their whole business model would be at risk.
Adobe Portfolio ain't bad. I pay for adobe suite so it's free. I switched from squarespace and pretty much replicated my squarespace site pretty easily and I'm saving $100+ a year now.
Squarespace is more powerful with better design, SEO, and room to grow. Check this blog post about Squarespace vs Adobe Portfolio: https://www.mehdiaoussiad.com/blog/squarespace-vs-adobe-portfolio
I wrote a full Squarespace vs Adobe Portfolio comparison on the above blog that explains which one makes more sense and why.

Sorry bud, ya gotta work to make something good
If you're a designer, I'd do Squarespace. Tons of customizability, support community (the 7.1 builder is great) and if you ever want to leave Adobe for another suite of tools, then it's less work for you.
They're all great and all suck at the same time tho, have fun.
I hate Adobe Portfolio
I use Adobe portfolio and like it.
If you just want a simple site for your work, it's more than adequate.
