I found that Canadian clients are stingier. The idea of paying for consultants to travel is less so the norm than in the US.
Also because the market is a fraction of the size than that of the US, consultants tend to be more generalists. The deep functional expertise comes from consultants in bigger markets like the US.
Also, salaries are about 30% lower, taxes are higher but there is a slightly better work life balance than the US.

Oh that is good and bad both but it is a good career path there? I am contemplating a move to Canada from NYC given the long wait for my green card. Idea is to land a job in consulting and the if possible move to banking or one of the tech companies

Few places in the world will likely offer the sheer number of job opportunities that you have in NYC.
