My probation was supposed to be of 6 months (i.e until June 2022), but today I received a notification in Workday that I have passed my probation.
How is this possible?
I was planning to resign within probation for 30days notice period. But now this happened. Will this change my notice period to 90days??

They don’t call RSM a Really Sh*tty Move for nothin’. Trust me, I work at KPMG so I know dumb moves
Take your current comp and subtract 10-20K depending on level and that should get you in the ballpark.
D1 what about it feels untrue? You think it’s even less?
Don’t do that. I left RSM because of the pay
RSM has multiple cliques throughout TAS, i would imagine it'd be difficult to come in from the outside. They pick favorites, and it's not necessarily always the most talented people. Also, former B4 people are heavily favored and much less likely to be part of layoffs.

But why
105k S1 but I negotiated like crazy
105k is honestly not too bad for MCOL, but when you had to negotiate from 98k that’s crazy
RSM has no upside. Look literally anywhere else. Except maybe BDO

They rely heavily on their audit practice, yet pegged to their comp structure, while PE (or other) ownership are pushing high volume, higher prices, higher utilization %.
Meanwhile they are leaking staff to a lot of advisory firms, not weighed down by audit compliance or other AICPA regulations, lower overhead, usually setup by ex Big 4 or A&M (or similar) and therefore often high quality. Meanwhile the rest of the top 50 CPA firms also see it as a big market to enter and are paying some very attractive salaries to get their numbers up.
Recruitment has got very hot, while firms like RSM are reeling from just months ago offering minimal bonuses and pay rises blaming a bad market while staff were full out already. Many of those had also started doing yearly lay offs so job security isn't even a perk anymore. 40 hours a week with job security used to make up for any compensation advantage but they've thrown it away.
There's a lot of options in the MM, and a lot of very good shops opening up or moving into TAS. If you want to send me a message with role and sector I can point you to some. If you're going to talk to recruiters, stick to the ones that have specialized in TAS for years, they know the market really well.
