I’ve been in the HVAC industry for 11 years with 10 of those in the field as a technician. As a technician I was considered very capable and was always considered one of the best where ever I worked. I’ve moved on to sales and currently work inside sales at a manufacturer rep. I’m still searching for the outside sales role that I want but I keep running into the “I lack outside sales experience”. How did you get into outside sales? Any tips on how I can break into it Thanks for the help

How do y’all cope with what ifs? Can’t shake the feeling I could have gotten into an M7 school if I had focused less on work and more on the application / GMAT. Deep down, I know that the T15 I’m attending will help me achieve my goals; I would just have to put in a little more work on my end to get there. Not seeing my school’s name show up in the media/company presentations when they do spotlights on successful people does give me pause about how successful the average alumnus at my school is.

At a manufacturing client who stocks a high volume of raw materials and packaging components with varying units of measure (milliliters, lb, kg, eaches, etc.). We’ve modeled how much RM inventory ($/units) to stock based on demand for finished good items they tie to and several other variables. I am am trying to identify pallet conversions by each RM item to determine the number of pallet spaces required. Anyone know of an effective way to do this? Trying to be within +/- 10% accuracy.

Im in industry: I’m Sr manager at $145 with promo expected this quarter. when I was offered the comp at hire 1 yea go, it was leveled at manager, I negotiated bonus and level but wasn’t hard on base as they met my request. My boss is offering a promo now to back fill a role that was filled by a director. Way bigger role, 7 directs but will have it AD, the company won’t let me get director although he agrees it’s fair. Am I getting ripped off with a 10% raise? I already got merit etc.

Have an offer for 20k more than I make now, using it mostly to negotiate my compensation where I’m at. Do I need to sign the offer letter? It’s due next Tuesday. Once I sign, I can always back out right? It doesn’t appear to be legally binding and it states “at-will”.
