Folks, one doubt..... I was hired as a senior consultant in dec 2021. I did not nominated for grade change till now. Will they automatically consider me for grade change or do I have to expicitely talk about it with PC ? Also if grade is changed, how is the impact on salary considering the parity check ? Right now I am at 25 lakhs with 8.3 years of experience.

Sometimes when my spouse snores i’l flick them real hard and they will wake up panicked and I’ll say “ are you okay? It was just a dream a bad dream...shhh just sleep” and then they will calm down and fall back asleep with less of a snore 🥴

The man I love is now married to someone else. He was my best friend since university (were now in early 30s), we never pursued anything romantically (was too scared to tell him) and now he’s married to someone else and they have a baby girl. I went to see them and they have this perfect home and family. His wife is perfect, pretty & young and smart. I’m still single. I started a new job a month ago and that just so happened to be when my birth control decided to screw with my emotions. I can barely hold it together already and I have the added stress of a new job and it being busy season. I don’t know what to do. I cry multiple times daily. I don’t know how to keep going.

I’m scared COVID is just beginning and we’ll see climate change lockdowns and huge restrictions in the next years.

Both my grandparents died within the last few years (husband/wife) and now the siblings (including my dad) need to divide up the remaining estate. I think I may have made a huge mistake today. My skip level director sent out an email about something and asked us for feedback. I sent back a note and provided some. One of the things I said was that our job satisfaction might be improved if we could do more of X kind of work instead of Y kind of work that we do so much of in our group. The next thing I know, I get a ping from his EA to set up time for me to chat with him and my director tomorrow. I am getting in trouble tomorrow, right?

Took my little dude to Target so he could buy a Xmas gift for his sibling. While browsing, he lost his $42 he’d been saving up. Same kid found a wallet packed with cash and credit cards at Disney a couple months back, and gave the wallet to the Disney employees —cuz it was the right thing to do. Today he learned that not everyone shares the same values and not to keep cash in a ziploc😞

People who are cleanliness/organization freaks and have SOs who are not as clean/organized, how do you deal with it? Just learn to live with it?

SO moved in, however they aren’t as organized (an example is closet, my clothes are neatly folded and kept while theirs are mostly a pile of rolled up clothes). It does upset me and for some reason comes across as lazy which it may or may not be. We have had one minor chat and they saw it as ‘house rules’ and were worried there may be too many rules.
