That's a lot I would say. I am a recovering alcoholic and if it was 15-20 a year ago and 30-35 next year it's going to go really bad. I am a recovering alcoholic so for me it's 0 but at the end it was 20-25 a night, I would shake, sweat and panic with less, black out all the time, and was losing my mind. It was the best approximation of hell I could imagine and saw no way out.
so glad to hear you turned things around. that sounds terrifying.

I don’t drink during the work week at all. I live alone and the concept of drinking alone just seems like a slippery slope (and addiction runs in my family). Maybe 4-6 if I go out on both weekend nights

Lol I’m a bit surprised at the surprise…
In my early twenties I was probably nearing 50 and then I realized I sort of had an alcohol problem and worked my way down slowly to where I am now in my early thirties where 15 drinks in a week would be a heavy week where I probably happened to have a lot of drinks heavy socialization. Last week was probably an average week which was ten drinks, although normally there are more no drinks nights but my husband was sort of encouraging a drink together several weeknights:
- Monday: 1 beer with dinner
- Tuesday: no drinks
- Wednesday: 1 glass of wine with dinner
- thursday: 1 sangria with dinner
- friday: 4 drinks (three at dinner with friends, and an after dinner drink with husband at home)
- Saturday: 1 glass of wine at dinner, 1 after dinner drink (in-laws over for dinner)
- Sunday: 1 glass of wine with dinner
Maybe one drink a month, tops. I can’t technically say I don’t drink, but I could count a year’s worth of drinks on both hands with fingers left over.

8 usually a glass of wine each night with dinner. A real glass (~4 to 5 oz pour) not some Super Big Gulp (tm) sized pour. Plus a single of a nice scotch on Fridays evening to celebrate the week being done.
I make a six pack last a whole year. It’s ok not to be a big drinker.
Nothing Monday to Friday. Friday to Sunday it’s not unusual for me to go through a bottle or three of wine, a shameful amount of spirits and a smattering of vodka soda type stuff.
