How many years is the norm to get promoted from Manager to AD? Is the pay jump pretty decent? I’m wondering if a promotion would even be worth it. Seems like a lot of work, with not a whole lot of pay off

I traditionally was brought up in my career where PM type tasks were handled by lower level AMs. I have observed separating AM and PM tasks into two separate departments just causes communication issues and lazy account people.
