Does any one have experience transitioning from media planning to production? Good move, or bad?
How do y’all deal with people at work who are stuck on stupid? Like they have no idea what they’re talking about and they REFUSE to learn. It’s like they have a god complex or something even with proof, maybe bc of their tenure at the company? Even if there’s valid data backing up that they’re wrong. Maybe it’s bc I’m a type 8 enneagram, but it frustrates the hell out of me!
So any advice would be lovely :)
If you've stayed 50 or 75 nights at Marriott/SPG this year, go to choice-benefit.marriott.com to select your 50 and 75 night benefits. Had to call to get it - never sent to me.

Buy-side fish: Would you return back to sell-side if you lost your job? Or would you pursue something else?
Hello, I am sharing this post from a mother who has an autistic son who wants to get into the gaming industry in the hopes that this community can offer good advice. Thank you.
Hey everyone! I need some advice. I’ve accepted an offer for a new job, but I’m in a bit of a rush to get out of the position I’m working right now. I start the new job July 18. My job now doesn’t care about their employees, and it’s a health risk for my family and I due to unsafe COVID policies (i.e. forcing you to come in even if you’re sick, making you use PTO for COVID even if working from home, etc). Is there anything short term I can do until July? Or should I stay until then?
I’m trying to plan for a wedding and I’m curious how many guests did you have and what’s the range/ballpark of the total wedding cost? Weddings during the pandemic would be good comparative data points! Thank you!
Does there have to be a low performer every year? I’m in a smaller specialty tax group and everyone seems pretty competent. With interim reviews being held this month, I was wondering if they have to select someone as a low performer even if there actually isn’t one. I’m speaking from the perspective of a first year associate.
I’m doing my own marketing for my small business and am having trouble creating call to actions that convert. Where can I learn more about this?
Any employment law experts in this group?
Currently have the FRM title.
I failed CFA level 3 once.
I'm hoping to eventually do CAIA, but only after I'm done with CFA. I'm also hoping to do non-financial certifications, like Certified analytics professional (CAP), and learn about web development.
While I may have the title of manager, I am still an individual contributor. The type of work I do involves quantitative analysis/data analysis/science.
Any suggestions as to what I should start with?
I'm working with a new experienced hire director who just doesn't get it. He may have industry experience but he just doesn't get this job at all. Making my job 50x harder. :bangs head against wall:
Some of these posts are ridiculous. They’re like just exited consulting to FAANG/Niche Startup with $150k base and $400k TC with 6 months of experience, you can do it too! Then they ghost or explain that they are a former SWE 😬 coming from MBB. Going to some super Niche role that people with crazy backgrounds are recruited for. Congrats, but not everyone has that background

Got interview invite for INSEAD - any tips from people who interviewed there? Any good resources to prep for alumni interview in general? Thanks!:)
My partner threatened to leave me if I don't stop working because I'm completely overtaxed and have become a nightmare to be around, and we don't need the money. This is obvious a terrible thing for them to say, but it was in the moment and they expressed they didn't mean it as a real threat afterwards. Other than telling me they should go to therapy, should I be considering taking time off? I love my job and sometimes I think it's actually the only thing that's providing a modicum of sanity.
I'm about four years into this career that I accidentally fell into, and whilst I'm decent at managing briefs, projects and client expectations I tend to fuck up on the QA side regularly, usually missing something that becomes blatant once spotted. It's pretty disheartening and embarassing every time it happens and I dont appear to be getting any better at it.
Anyone else have this or got suggestions for how to work on it? I'm thinking more and more that it just means this jobs not for me

I'm new on a project w/ a client who thinks he's always right. The old team members just go along with his decisions, even if they disagree, to avoid challenging him. Is this really the best approach?
