Haha, welcome to the world of having to set aside money to feel good. It's annoying how great it feels to good when you have to pay for it. Anyway, rant aside, I spend about $300 a month on beauty products + services. Some months, if the occasion justifies the expense, I'll let myself go as far as another $300.
Tell me your salary and that will tell you how much you should be spending. It shouldn’t be more than 5-10% of your net income after taxes, so more like 3-6% of your salary.
Author-if you make $150, and are no dependents/debts to be repaid/credit cards carrying balances, you should spend no more than $750 per month. That’s 6%. Ideally $375. I’m over 50, so it gets more expensive as you age!
Accountant 1- $320-$640. Also assuming the no debts/student loan emergencies!
$1000/year on hair. Maybe $1500/year on beauty products and makeup, so $250/month average?
really my biggest beauty/self care expense are my acrylic nails 1-2 times per month and including tip is just under $100 for each set. I rarely buy new makeup because I already have enough of what I need. if i need skincare refills, tack on up to another $100 that month. so yeah also probably ~$300 max/month
Hair = $170 every 8 weeks
Dysport = $3-400 2x a year
Facials = $400 year
Makeup- rare expense because I don’t use it on wfh days, so honestly this isn’t on my radar.
I get my nails done 1-2x a year for special occasions- around $100.
Contributing - I maybe spend $100-200 a month on clothes, and maybe $200 a month of exercise classes.
This is so accurate. Love that you know and account for every single expense of yours.
Hair -$500 about three times a year
Waxing - $100/ 6 weeks
Make up/hair products - maybe about $600/year
Facials/massages - only treat myself after busy season so maybe $400/year
Probably averages out (beauty products and services) to be $100 a month
Keep in mind I live an active no makeup lifestyle
