Go for it. Not just for the money but the fact that Cisco is the center of all major networking opportunities. Also once tagged with Cisco a lot of other companies will show interest in hiring you.
Try not to stick too long in a single team. switch teams of company every 18months. Set clear expectations with your manager on what he expects of you in a quarter and deliver on time.
Complete atleast one Cisco certification every year.
Be ahead of the game.
Respect your time at Cisco. Publish external documentations. Create tools that become a part of the system even after you leave. Leave your mark.
Follow this and you will be golden.
This is the best advice I have as ex-Cisco TAC/HTTS/AS Engineer.
Rising Star
all in line. you have not been low balled 🙂
Also don't think that 18Lpa is too much. People in my close circle earn 32+ at 5 yrs exp ..so gear up and aim higher. Cisco might not give you that kind of money but it will give you knowledge , experience and opportunity. That's where all the big bucks start flowing towards you.
For 3.6 years, 18 lpa is more. What's your skill set.
The only issue you face in future is, you won't find normal companies pay a hike on this when you try to switch .
As you are joining Cisco, one advice I give is be ready for anything i.e. layoffs as well irrespective of your performance.
Java, Selenium, RestAssured, Jenkins etc
Dont scare me like this bro 😅....is it actually like that ? Do they always keep on firing ?
