Last bill was $44 total. 2 bedroom apartment
$30 for 2 bedroom in Bushwick, split two ways for 15 ea
OP - I also would check your bill to see if it’s an actual reading or an estimate.
I won’t go into all the details, but ConEd does this shady thing that sometimes they don’t actually do a reading, but rather do an estimate based on some hidden formula. They the “adjust” on the next reading even though the current period may have a higher cost than the next one and therefore you pay a higher rate bc of their incompetence.
When I moved into my apartment (studio) I got a bill for $130. That’s more than what my parents pay for a full house in the south. When I called they told me that this was their estimate and that I was free to provide them with a reading and they would adjust it as of that day. So every month, I now have to read my meter, call them and provide them with the actual reading. It’s usually 50% less than the first bill I get. Probably because I’m never home, but they haven’t been able to give me a good answer.
They are a monopoly with no incentive to have goo customer service.
Mine is 70 per month for a studio. It’s gas and electricity but I travel every week and don’t know why it’s so high
$30
Does $100 seem too much? Don’t even use heating/AC, just electricity
For 1 person? My yearly average came out to 75-80$ for myself and my roommate
My last bill was $60 last month for a 1 bed unit
$170 for a 2 bed. We don’t use the AC too much, typically 75-78 in summer and 70-72 in winter.
$120 - 1BR, Central Air, W/D in unit.
Mines always over 100 for a 1 bedroom... what am I doing wrong??
Depends if you have washer / dryer in unit. I don’t and my roomie and I pay $50 total
Woah. We just got a bill for some 200 plus dollar. Had mother in law visiting and had to use heater.
NYC. $1.00 per square ft. per month. $1.50 in winter or summer for the heat or ac.
Math was never my strong suit, esp after wine. $0.10 and $0.15 in a 1500 sw ft place in outer NYC.
I just paid $64 for my studio and that was my first bill. Is that too high?
$200 for 300 sq ft. Husband is in the City all week and we run an ac unit at night.
