I've been working remotely for five years now and it would really take a lot to get me to go back to an office. I'm glad I worked in the office when I was young, I did learn a lot. And I'll admit at times I miss the camaraderie of office life. But I'd want a real bump, like 25%, or a real advance in my position, to be back full-time in the office.
I’m with you there
Assuming it’s within a reasonable commuting distance (<45 mins) and allows flexibility (or is a 3/2), I’d probably do it for a coffee and a danish. I hate working from home.
The commute is killer. I was interviewing at my old company which on the way home was a 1-1.5 hr commute and wasn’t sure if it was worth making the move.
Incredibly important. Commuting in this city is a nightmare. I'd need at least 20% to make the switch.
Which city are you?
I’ve had both setups. WFH gave me back hours and sanity. To go back in? I wouldn't do it since my kids are so little, so I would avoid as much as possible, so I would need a killer reason more than the money itself.
Yeah it’s so tough, I love the flexibility of work from home
