Is there the possibility of settling prior to trial ??
Think about it , if they were going to fire you, they wouldn’t give you 2 weeks.
If you feel like you can’t handle it, start looking for jobs now and then quit. Give 2 weeks or however long you think it’s appropriate but don’t feel bad if it’s not 2 weeks.
Right now, it’s a zero offer case. And thanks for your input! They definitely would not give me any notice if they fired me. Fortunately for me, they need me more than I need them right now.
2 weeks is still standard, no matter how or when you leave you’ll probably be burning the bridge. Id give notice and wrap your files up professionally, it’s on them to staff their files (or keep their people happy in the first place). If you’re opening your own shop, I work as outside General Counsel to solo and small law firms, feel free to DM me if you’d like to chat!
I sometimes think about the same thing and then realize people have quit and been fired forever, and they all have turned out fine. Screw your boss if he wants to be petty and immature and “burn the bridge” if you quit. That speaks more volume about him then about you. At the end of the day, you have to do what’s best for you and your loved ones. So consider quitting imo
Haha definitely easier said than done!
I wouldn’t feel bad or stay because of the trial date. I would give them two weeks notice which is more than enough.
Depends on the job this job I have now the treat me like trash so they will be lucky if I show up
Haha fair enough! They get what they dish out. Sorry you’re going through it.
I mean at the end of the day you don't owe your job anything. I think that giving two weeks notice is more than sufficient but that is just me.
