Hi folks, It's been 22 days since I joined birlasoft. But still I have not been mapped to any project and in induction I have been told this hiring is done based on an already existing requirement. Is it common to not get mapped after these many days of joining? Please share your experience!!! Birlasoft

Never let your career come before important family decisions
Start trying now. Never put your job in front of your real life. I'm ready to retire (53 more working days). I never rose past the VP point in Banking because of my conscious decision not to work more than 5 days a week, and to make those ten to thirteen days the exception, not the norm. Your job will toss you out the door and not think twice about it. You owe your employer an honest day's work for appropriate pay. That's all. Live your life for YOU.
Well, you never know how long it could take. We decided to wait a while and then ran into fertility issues and had to do IVF. If we had waited even longer, it might've been too late. I hate that we as women have to consider these kinds of things, but it's just part of our reality. It's not great to get pregnant right after changing jobs, but getting pregnant may take a little bit longer than you expect it to.
Start trying now. You may take awhile to get pregnant and if you’re ready for baby now, now’s the time to try. Do not let a job influence your life decisions. Work to live, do not live to work. At the end of the day, employers will not bat an eye at laying a person off or firing them in order to meet their bottom line. You are replaceable and disposable at work. Your family and life dreams are irreplaceable and come first. It took my ex husband and I FIVE YEARS of trying. It turned out that he had infertility issues and I needed to do IVF. I had my twins at 31 years old. I cannot imagine if I had decided to wait based on a career… that would have put me at 36 at the youngest. Please put your family first!
Never let that decision come thinking of work first. Your life and family always have to come first. Don’t forget this. A job is a job and they can’t fire you just because you’re pregnant. Think positive thoughts about family and your decision will be easy.

That’s such a tough spot to be in. I totally get the worry about timing, but honestly there’s never a “perfect” moment. If you’re ready, I’d lean toward prioritizing your family plans. Most careers adjust, but starting a family is on its own timeline.
I would consider whenever YOU are ready to get pregnant as an acceptable time to get pregnant. We do not owe our companies delayed milestones. You live one time, and tomorrow is not guaranteed. No one should feel the need to make major life and family-centered decisions around their place of employment‘s “expectation” of service because you did a good job and got a promotion. The sooner we all act this way, the sooner we take back some power over corporate greed.
It shouldn't influence at all in my opinion. If you personally feel you are ready now then Id say start trying now
