Bit of a niche topic: I’ve been in TS/SCI processing for a Science/Tech/Weapons analyst position with the CIA for 3 yrs since I finished grad school in chemistry, but CIA positions are sort of set it and forget it since they can take so long. I’ve since been focused on a Patent Attorney track and am with a firm that will support me taking the patent bar/law school. If I get through processing and go to the CIA for some time, do you think would I be accepted back into patent law later on?

After you are stealth laid off, other than job search, what do you do? I assume they won’t give you work and even if they do, you can politely decline? I’ve gotten an initial offer and trying to get some context on what the range is for this and whether I should push for more or accept. I just had the initial call with HR. I was told that Senior Analysts start at 56k and Business Operations Specialists start at 67k. I had my Assessor interview this past week and received a pre-screening questionnaire that asked about dual citizenship status.
