Hoping to see where I stand in the open market re: salary. I have 6.5 years experience in workers comp, WCLS/AIC/AIC-M designations, and I’m certified to handle CA claims and licensed in FL and TX. Currently at 78k annually, plus bonuses, and live in the Midwest.

I came into a hedge fund job as an analyst in February of this year and didn’t negotiate my bonus at the outset. I was coming from tech and needed a green card so didn’t have much room to do so.

With bonus season coming up, I have a feeling my PM is going to underpay me. Should I bring up the subject myself? Also, how do I get a sense of what I’m worth? I did not trade but was the main data guy and built a tool that is indispensable for our process. Is 10% of his cut of PnL reasonable?

Does anyone else struggle with the lack of incentives in law? The possibility of a yearly bonus does not cut it, especially when there are down periods beyond our control. In AU bonuses are small too. Partnership is a carrot that seems to dangle farther and farther away (used to be 6 years, now it takes 10 years+ on average). Even then I’ve seen many dedicated and hardworking seniors disappointed. What are some other ways we can incentivise and reward hard work in big law? Quarterly bonuses?

I recently learned from 3 different employees that left (voluntarily) they were making 98-105k. They were outside candidates and were all hired within the last year and for the same position, and same regional territory. I have worked for the company 3+ years and went from a core position, to large loss. I was given a 10k raise putting me around 78k. Yes.... some of these individuals have Lardge Losss experience but does that really make a 20-25k difference? Any advise!?

When and how much of a raise should I ask for? Ive been working as a Software Engineer and Data Scientist for 7 months and I am making $70/hr. I got hired to work with python and I work with python, as well as C++, SQL, and NPSS. I have surpassed my boss's expectations time and time again and he constantly refers to me as the only source of good news in the engineering team. He just requested that my contract be extended until April 2024 and I would like for my value to increase.

Hey, I received a verbal offer from EY for a role as manager, which was quite a low ball offer. I had received another offer from a different firm and I informed EY HR about it. I was told yesterday that they have an updated offer for me, scheduled the call twice with me but didn't actually call and told me she got occupied in other meetings. I have not got a response from her yet on the mails, should I contact the hiring partner directly? other firm is asking me to update as well.

Because I don't even have a passport for the country I am a dual citizen for, I didn't even think about the possibile complications this could lead to with my application.
