Has anyone done the Blackstone pymetrics?
After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

I work at WF. I was already employed at a competitor, a bank with a much better reputation, but was being far underpaid compared to much less experienced colleagues. WF offered an 80+% increase to base with a much larger bonus than I’d ever received. I do think about the reputation and I can’t exactly say that I shout it from the rooftops that I work for WF, but it was a strategic move to a department with a great possibility for growth.
WF does not have to be your forever home. If it’s a good offer, go into it with an open mind and with your wits about you.
I wouldn’t do it. They constantly make changes. I’ve re-interviewed for my job twice in three years. Very bad leadership.
I work at WF. Great company internally with some great people. Awesome benefits and internally mobility is extremely good. Take it
Fishbowl, what’s wrong with that?
well, I can tell you from very recent experience that as soon as the Fed's lifted the consent orders, they eliminated a bunch of people who's job was to uncover the risks, write controls and work with internal audit. Since they're no longer under the microscope, they dont feel they need to be AS worried about inherent or residual risk. Didnt see it coming since there were still over a 100 issues that hadnt been started. OH, and you're safe if you're director level or higher, or customer facing customer service... everything else is going to I&P (India and the Philippines)
Your comment about moving the majority of jobs to india is 100% right. Citi is even worse. I and MANY others in the Texas market just got laid off by them; they are sending our jobs to mumbai. Citi is the worst about it. In our market at least 75% of the employees are foreigners from india working on visa. The bulletin boards in every single break room are covered with notices from Tata and other “consultancies” giving notice of all the new indians Citi is hiring to take our jobs.
If you currently have a job, I strongly advise that you pass on Wells. When I tried to leave WF for another company,it took forever, because nobody wanted to hire a WF employee because of their reputation, even though I was never involved with their crooked operations. There are several other illegal actions in their brokerage department that never discovered or made public. Restrictions should never have been lifted on them.
First of all, what do you want a recruiter and or hiring manager to tell you? Why are you considering the move? You are pretty vague in your description. Apparently, you have a job now. Money is not everything and the grass is sometimes worst than your current situation. Wells Fargo is a large company and the political issues are in every department. This includes people that have hidden agendas. If you have to ask strangers about the position, the job is not for you. I retired from Wells Fargo after 12 years. Way the pros and cons so you can not point the finger at anyone but yourself.
I just read that Wells Fargo is closing a lot of branches, and then there’s the whole scandal from years back. Maybe not the most pristine reputation out there, but I think overall if you can make your time there worth it for you and explain that tactfully to the next hiring manager, it should (probably) be alright.
I think there is a lot to consider here. Are you currently employed? What is your reason for seeking employment elsewhere, if so? I wouldn't necessarily say working there screams "red flag," but maybe your professional contacts know something I don't know.
Is the offer from Wells Fargo, or Wells Fargo Advisors? There is a world of reputation a difference when speaking to experienced people in the financial services industry. The bank side has a damaged reputation and having it on your resume may well impact your future carrer
