Anyone knows about the base for chase PCA?
I met someone and their son is a director at Morgan Stanley. He told me to give him a call and potential have a talk about working there . How are Morgan Stanley advisors compensated. I ask because I left another firm and they have tried to charge me charge backs on commissions that have come back.

It sounds like it is definitely time to move. I am not terribly versed in the three options, so my advice is to consider how much support you want. The payouts will all be higher than EJ, but there is generally a direct trade-off between higher payouts and lower levels of support. You want to find the sweet spot for you.
Good luck!
Good luck moving clients when you leave EJ. I just read through an EJ non compete and you aren’t even allowed to talk to a client for 1 year if you got that client while at EJ. Not sure how enforceable it is but EJ loves to sue.
We’ve had many FAs leave and transition 50-80% of their book. I’m not 100% set on leaving, however am considering options.
I work with advisors who are quietly exploring life beyond Edward Jones, specifically evaluating platforms like Raymond James, LPL, and Ameriprise.
I oversee 25+ advisor transitions each year and am always happy to share what the breakaway process really looks like, plus realistic expectations around transition deals across firms.
If that’s helpful, my DMs are open. No agenda attached.
What’s your AUM and T12?
The notion that 80M isn’t enough AUM to go out on your own is nonsense. I went out on my own with 10 and did just fine. Brought a couple of FAs into my RIA and gave them a very fair deal. Never got about 25M personally and had the RIA up to 130M when I sold the business in August and retired last month.
