I am graduating with my AA in Criminal Justice in May. I've been in culinary for 13 years. I want to move forward with my law career, but don't know where to apply. Please help, advice and recommendations would be nice.

I would say do a couple of years as a legal assistant, then jump into a paralegal position or take a legal assistant/paralegal position . Learn as much as you can on how a case goes from pre-suit to trial and maybe you can take some law classes here and there. However I agree with the person who said if you don’t have financing/grants you will be paying off your debt until you are very old or dead. It’s soooooo expensive. Or you can go the way of Saul Goodman.

I’ve practiced litigation in DC for about 5+ years at a larger plaintiffs’ firm, and am considering a switch to a defense firm. Is there any insight to how many billable hours this would require, and how much time that would actually be? For reference, the firm has a 1900 billable hour requirement and the partner said I would have “no problem” fulfilling that based on the work they have.
