I am having to consistently make edits/provide input to my bills before they are sent out as a second year associate … is this normal? It wastes so much time! The partner will also have me work on client work I am not allowed to (bc I am a junior) and then I’m unable to bill the “proper” way so I have to think and be creative to get my time realized … this causes so much undue stress and wastes time and they’re continuously on my ass about billing more even though I’m hitting the monthly “goal”

I worked for a partner like this and left the firm. I would spend hours looking for emails and documents to send in support of an appeal months after the fact. It’s not supposed to be that way.

Current offer in hand is from a Captive & they have fixed ctc - what to do?

What are you considering when assigning cases to firms in the defense panel. I’m a 2nd year associate at a national ID firm (~300 attorneys) and want to create rapport with claim managers I’m currently working with. Any advice?

Alternatively, is there something that will cause you not to assign cases to particular firm?
