I’ve been practicing Plaintiff’s first party for five years now. Contemplating a switch to an in-house role for an ins. Co. Can anyone give any insight to what the typical day to day is as in-house for an insurance company? TIA

The lawyers that I used to work with love their roles and also make $250k+. Hours were usually 9-5. Depositions from time to time. Case load varied heavily by BU and how many attorneys & assistants were available. Stable roles and job security. Recommend to hire-in at the salary and title that you’d be happy with for 5+ years bc claims/lawyers don’t get the same treatment as production.

Thank you for the info

Depends on the support staff and management. Technically, it is 9 to 5, but if your short staffed and/or support staff is behind on their work assignments then it’s more than 9 to 5. Also, it’s high volume, fast pace and depending on the assignments and court rules, time sensitive

Why do you wana leave Plaintiff? I’m considering the reverse lol

Reverse like defense (not in house, sorry) to Plaintiff. So just wondering

Any recommendations for finding the rare executive-level legal positions or for landing on the radar of the big executive search firms would be much appreciated!
