Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express
Google Can anyone @google give me a referral for the APMM position in Singapore? Because there I would have a higher chance of getting selected with a referral I wanted to ask if anyone could help me out with that.
I know this is a lot coming from a stranger, I can show you my career portfolio deck and the resume if you only feel that I am a good fit you can refer me. If you think I am not fit, no hard feelings just feedback would do.

Honestly, i think this is about how this actually affects you and your professional pride. I was a product manager on a Telco company and I moved into another one as a BA (actually closer to Product Owner role).
I felt that the challenge and the new position presented opportunity that I wouldn't find if i just hanged back due the title position.
Sometimes is more about the title, is about the opportunity and how a possible new role will make you grow.
My 2 cents
I quite like this perspective. I think it's like the others said, how bad do you want it? And it might be worth raising as "what would I need to accomplish/do to move to a senior level?" to understand what the decision making is factoring in
I guess it depends on how badly you want to work for the new company. There's really not much you can do about it if there aren't any openings. It is strange that they would hire someone with less experience for a senior role and then offer you a lower one. Unless it was all about the timing. If you really want to work there, and the salary/benefits are right, then why not get your foot in the door and broach the topic once you're in?
They might just not have the budget for you right now but obviously Amazon is a hugee company and there will be more opportunities, as others said
Is the title what is important to you? If so, why not just ask for a senior PM title when negotiating the offer?
