Although I currently lack contacts in the industry, I am learning Avid Media Composer, the industry-standard editing software, to enhance my skills. So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. Senior attorneys at v100, how common is it for attorneys who start at small firms to lateral to biglaw? Have you worked with any?
