I am relocating to another country in 2 months. My partner (residing outside of NL) and I (Amsterdam resident) want to get married before the move. Do I need to register our marriage in Amsterdam or can I go to another city hall? Per the rules of local Gemeente, I need to wait 6 weeks after my declaration of marriage before the actual wedding date. We don’t have so much time. What would you recommend? I’m considering foreign marriage but even foreign certificate registration date is in December.
