Hello Guys,
I joined Cognizant recently, the project interview calls which I am getting is not from my base location.
I have the location constraint, should I wait for the right opportunity or raise this concern to ADP team so they can look in to it?
As per ADP policy, one should not have any constraints and take the project as FCFS basis.

There was an abusive PwC Houston office audit partner that bullied and degraded me several years ago. He retaliated. I ended up leaving. Nothing happened to him. What I went through was awful and spiraled me into a depression...along with several other team members. I am glad people are seeing how harmful harassment can be. When women speak up, organizations try to suppress dissent. There were so many people complicit in this partner’s bad behavior including the ones that promoted him. It took a lot the stars to line up for things like this to be brought to light.
At least im a professional and could turn to other firms and companies for a job. Think of the minimum wage workers that are potentially harassed by managers and never outed in fear of losing their job.
Agreed. I recently left the company. My manager who hired me because I worked with his wife at a makeup store harass me. He would take away projects for me. I would ask for things. He would ask if I had a boyfriend several times. He was crazy. I spoke up and he got fired. After he got fired people in the group were being mean to me. I forgot to add that he started spreading rumors about me how I am rude and stuff in the begging. I am not rude. I hate it when men in power feel like it’s okay to abuse. I should feel bad because I knew his wife and he has two kids. But no... I don’t he deserved to lose his job after 12 years...... men in power should really check themselves...... I recorded our conversations and reported. I felt so shitty in the start of my career at Deloitte because he would spread rumors. I found out he was harassing other women. That made me take a stance. I left the firm and I am so happy. After he got fired his friends in the group spread rumors. I got depressed and I kept telling myself I will get to the top. It happened and he’s out.
I worked with a woman from another office on an engagement a few years ago who had her partner slap her ass at a work event as a first year associate (we were second year associates at the time). She told HR and they said there have been numerous similar complaints but he’s a high earner for the firm so their hands were tied. He’s still a partner This was a few years ago, but always stuck with me
My harasser was more covert in his style...he was demeaning, yelled and made passive aggressive comments, but never sexual in nature. He threw a stapler at one of the seniors head. He is still at the firm and has been a partner going on almost 13 years. Most people that work for him just leave the firm and keep quiet.
EY1 me2 I knew a couple of people and I got an offer and left. Good luck to the term because other men in my group are gross. I get it men. But there are apps like tinder. Don’t shit at where you eat.
EY1 - in college I was one of those minimum wage workers who felt the need to keep quiet, because I desperately needed the job. My manager was incredibly degrading and touched many of the female staff inappropriately. I’m so fortunate to be out of that situation, but I know many women who were left behind. I’m also very glad that we’re finally starting to see society not tolerate this kind of behavior. More importantly, I hope all of the publicity will encourage more women to come forward with their stories and more companies realize it’s not ok to protect this kind of behavior or to ignore it.
Thank you all for sharing your stories.
EY1, sounds like the partner was a jerk, but if not sexual in nature, that's just called being a jerk. The stapler thing could actually be assault though.
@EY1 very interesting. I worked directly with that (now retired) female. I would have considered her someone who would have my back in that sort of situation. It's a shame that the more "old school" leaders are not taking the high road here, especially when the rhetoric within the firm is "we are all about change, embracing new ideas/movements, and integrity"
OP, what exactly did this partner do?
Yeah, not illegal. Just very abusive.
I’ve had a senior partner call me “honey,” made overt sexual remarks in my direction in front of the team, make comments about women and their lack of fertility as they age, tell a woman to watch her weight.... but I️ know the firm always works for them
My manager was inappropriate and would give me hugs. It’s a little difficult to say details because it was a bad experience. He was so inappropriate. He would ask me to dinner and get mad at me and send me emails that informed me that he texted me and that I didn’t text him back. I was new to the industry. I was so scared. I kept my mouth and kept on about my tenure. Now I am leaving the firm. It’s funny my building is right to the today’s show.
I like to add that I am not being sexist but this happens to men. I am a women but it happen that a large portion involves women. I don’t mean to single out men.
@EY1 I'm so sorry they didn't do anything on your behalf. I'm with PwC Houston and I'm surprised the OMP (assuming it was the woman at the time) wouldn't have done anything. I'm not in the Audit LoS but directly support them on multiple engagements and hope I never come across this person.
The OMP who is different than the current OMP is also a woman is now retired and was one of the abusive partner’s sponsor for partnership.
I find all these allegations interesting since as a society we’ve managed to convince most women to fear black men since they are sexual predators. Instead of examining the culture of what some men are taught is appropriate behavior.
PwC1 - the OMP stayed neutral. The partner smeared me and there was nothing I could do about it. Then he threatened me. He was believed over me because he’s a partner and firms protect their partners.
