Invest in Digital Marketing and Social Media Marketing
I. Digital Marketing
Hire a Digital Marketing specialist or SEO/SEM specialist to improve your website's visibility and ranking on the web. If you are a one-man team as of the moment and hiring internally is out of the option as of this moment, you can outsource these specialists from Upwork and other freelance job sites. The goal is to rank higher in the search.
II. Social Media Marketing
Having social media presence is a must in this day and age.
Tiktok is the best search engine right now for Millenials and Gen Z. People who are looking for professional services like yours, look for ideas, social proof, samples of projects done, or proof of legitimacy on this platform. I do this myself. For organic ads, create engaging contents to entice viewers and show your authority in the space. There's also Tiktok Ads for paid ads to boost your presence.
Instagram and Facebook to showcase your designs/projects via images and videos. Meta Business Suite is a great social media marketing tool. Reels are really good medium for organic promotion right now.
It is also worth noting that people tend to search on social media first then Google search. They search on social media to look for ideas, social proof, samples of projects, and proof of legitimacy. They look for the business' website for further investigation of samples of projects done and the business' legitimacy. So your presence on the web and on social media can make or break your business nowadays.
To drive the right clients to your website and encourage conversions, building a strategic online presence will make a big difference. Here’s a tailored plan to get you started:
Identify Your Target Market: Focus on who your ideal clients are—whether they’re homeowners, commercial property owners, or developers—and build your content to speak directly to their needs.
Optimize Your Website for Conversions: Ensure your website has a strong portfolio, client testimonials, and clear calls to action (CTAs) to get in touch. Simplify navigation, use high-quality images, and make sure the site loads quickly.
Google Ads and Social Media Ads: Run targeted ads on Google and social media platforms to reach potential clients actively looking for architectural services. This can drive traffic immediately.
The first task is to build yourself a solid web site. Try to make sure it answers questions that a client might have (your location, capabilities, experiences, and a work portfolio). If you build the site, once it's indexed by Google's crawlers people will be able to find it. Having social media accounts can be more involved, and you should study businesses that you think have done it successfully. I don't know that you'd have to hire a social media expert, as sometimes the best accounts are those that are organic.
I know you posted this anonymously, but it would help to get a glimpse of what you already have. Somethings to make clear in general are making clear calls-to-action and making a clear and understandable value proposition for your website visitors.
Try putting your business out there on sites like Next Door, ThumbTack, Yelp, LinkIn, etc. It should definitely help get your name out there for people who are looking for Engineers, over something like Google ad words, because they would be more tailored to your area. Good luck
