I applied for roles at CBA through consultants (via Naukri) and directly on their careers portal. I cleared a first technical round and was told I was shortlisted, but never received any official update despite repeated follow-ups. The same happened again for another role via resume screening. My direct applications remain “Under Review” for over a month. Disappointing experience with no closure or communication.

Why if you are on H1B is so much problematic for vendors looking for contractors ? Vendors keep on asking to join on W2 rather that Corp to Corp although for employees on H1B we cannot join on W2 due to immigration issues. Point being does it matter for end client , if the contractor is coming as W2 or not ?

But due to the diminishing demands of the role in IT industry , I am planning to switch my career in Devops or AWS which would help me grow.
But I am not sure without any practical knowledge, will I get a job at this many years of experience in a different profile.
