I currently am dealing with day 13 of what I thought was cold and has definitely turned bacterial walking pneumonia. My manager expects me to find coverage for tomorrow but I am putting my phone in do not disturb and going back to sleep. Will tell her tonight I just saw the text. How do you handle management that doesn't do their freaking job when you're sick? Coverage was never in my job descriptions at ANY job but they always expect it. Management makes more than me so they can do it!

You've got a good point. A good manager would just do that on their own. First of all, a sick person shouldn't have to deal with it. And secondly, you want to make sure it's done and there won't be any problems in the morning. They should just do it.

That's why I am just going to ignore it and focus on getting better. They sent me home sick a day ago, they are well aware of my condition (and how it is affecting my asthma).

I would lose my mind in your shoes. That's literally what a manager's job is: to manage things LIKE STAFFING to make sure work gets done on time. That shouldn't be your responsibility. Good for you for putting on DND, they can figure it out. Hope you get feeling better.

Thank you! I got a doctor's note today and I am not to be back until Tuesday. Manager found coverage in less than ten mins, that would have taken me hours of texting people. I told her my doctor wasn't happy that a sick person is expected to do a job that belongs to management and she left me on read 😂😂

Some managers really hate managing, don't they? You need to be focused on rest and getting better, not work stress.

Ugh I wanted to take my son to see a UFC match in person. Just so happens there is one in November at Madison Square Garden - great right! I knew the tickets would be expensive, was willing to pay $400 to $500 a ticket as long as they were decent. The cheapest ticket in the whole arena, basically top row so you can’t see crap, is $506 before you start with the fees!!! Am I wrong or is that just bananas???? Oh well, pay per view it is, maybe have some friends over. Just complaining… happy Friday!
