I currently graduated with a psych degree. I have been a behavioral therapist for 2 years now as it worked with my school schedule now I am looking for something in the corporate world and it is SO hard. Even with years of experience as an administrative assistant, I keep getting rejection letters. I’m about to give up.

Oh, I really hear you. My cousin had almost the exact same path: psych degree, behavior therapist, admin assistant, and it took her 6 months of nonstop applications before she got her break in a recruiting coordinator role. She said what helped was leaning into her therapy background, which made her great with people. What’s one unique strength from your past roles that you can lead with?

like

Wow that’s really helpful! I have been applying as a recruiting coordinator as well. I am very great with people too. Has she moved up in the company?

Are there any internships you can do? Having an internship or some sort of real world experience can help you on your resume. You have some great transferable skills from your psych background. You could look for a smaller opportunity with a nonprofit or the like to get some experience you can present to employers.
