If you got offer letter and everything looks fine. Just resign else he will brainwash you.
Just say my compensation is not as per ind ustry standard so i am looking for change.
There is nothing wrong in asking better compensation.
2-3 months notice period is a blessing (after getting the first offer and resigning) if you are ready to fight for what you deserve. Prepare well and keep on giving interviews. I guarantee you that you will land a 15+ lpa job by the end of the notice period.
Tell him to fuck himself. No need to carry out any discussion. You are not obligated for that, and if there is a discussion tell him you need money in life. That's it.
Itnaa sach kaun boltaa h bhaiya
Don't fall for the drama.
As a manager his job is to try his best to retain you in as less salary as possible.
As an employee your job is to put your career and compensation growth first.
He is doing his job. You do yours.
Yes, they do that a lot, I told my manager that I am starting my own startup
So that he won't counter it with other things . Otherwise I need to go through lot’s of discussion ,which is of no use.
Don't lie to your manager. Coz he will get to know anyhow. Just say that you got a better offer from outside, and you want to explore that. Simple. If he wants you to stay, ask him if he can give better offer
