Pulling chairs and opening doors is mere chivalry, if you don’t wana do it just don’t. These are the things you do out of chivalry, don’t compare these things with equality . Equality is talked about for opportunities, stop crying ffs
@DBS, No wonder that you speak like this as you are on the receiving side of the benefit. I have literally seen many unfair things happening in the name of equality.
Ex: For maintaining gender equality at the workplace, do we need to reject the deserving candidate in the interview?
So many sessions on equality in every company. And this is what a manager has gain the meaning of 'equality' out of it.
No reason we lack so much in work ethics and professionalism.

Women taking these as advantage and trying to dominate everone with closed heart. But most of the men are open minded and hearted. In my carrier i can see most of the lady staffs are more arrogant and selfish. Ex: Shanthini vasudevan.
When you stereotype 'women' in general, does that include the 'women' from your house too or they are exempted?
It is funny. See how men expect women to be equal now in terms of earnings and not household and consider getting a door opened as "perk". That is funny.

We men, open doors for women and in exchange expect them to manage household chores, along with raising the children, along with sharing loans, along with treating our parents as their own ( and of course not their parents in the same way)...
If this is not a balanced and reasonable expectation, i don't know what is !!!!
It is all about how you can treat others well, you can choose to ignore doing these things if you don't want to. Better start focusing on what you can deliver rather than how the other gender is being treated well. If you have a working female at home, just know that they now work without being mistreated. Thanks to all those men however who have made the workplace better for us women in terms of equality without bringing in the bias.

I feel that those women who suffer socially , probably arent aware of the rules and regulations in place
1. You might be some project manager but you lack corporate experience for sure.
2. Women do need conscious effort to get the equality, even today when we hire freshers there are high chances female will leave job or start getting digressed or less productive after getting married - reason patriarchy rocks. It's getting lesser definitely but not gone yet.
My team members themselves have shared stories how they are expected to take care of home and work both if they want to continue working - is this equality?
3. When one is looking for promotion, every female needs to think all through and through about family planning, the moment they share they are pregnant even the upcoming promotion in say 3 months time would go on hold as she won't be around due to maternity.
4. When there's a female leader and she climbs the ladder faster than her male companions all the stories start flowing how she must be doing something special etc etc etc
Think deeper if you would be the one getting affected by someone of your league but growinf faster than you, what stories would come to your mind?
Will you take less driven Path- let me see what am I missing
