I dropped out of high school my junior year and I think this is hurting my chances at getting a better job. If I started saying I graduated high school on applications there would be no way employers could tell? I should have graduated in 2022. So I was thinking I could just put that as my graduation year. Will this work?

I would always advise you to not lie. Most employers aren’t going to ask about education or degrees unless it relevant to the job. In your resume, you could just list your school under education. You don’t even have to put degree or mention graduating, I think they’ll assume you’ve graduated. In that case, you don’t have to lie.

As someone who dropped out after my junior year, you will be fine. Honestly get your GED now. If you already have it, put the year that you got your GED. Your early education is very important to employers. They just want to make sure you can be dedicated enough to get some sort of certificate, even though it is basically a forced cert. I was supposed to graduate in 2024, and have had a job since 2023. Calm yourself, get your GED, and find a job that fits your needs.

Just moved into an apartment in Old Town. The insulation for both sound and heat is terrible. I can hear everything going on outside and am nervous that the heat/gas bill will be insane.

Do you think my landlord will do anything to fix it if we ask? I’m more concerned about the noise. Any tips?
