Apple changed the game. Think about it. The term android is used to describe an OS, NOT a brand. Android is popular due to the fact most phones have an android OS, even though made by different manufacturers. Apple is not only an OS, but it’s a brand. To put it in perspective it’ll be like if Samsung branched off and created their on OS that competed with the widely known android. Instead of the convo being Samsung vs apple , it’s android vs apple. It’s like instead of comparing apples and carrots, you’re comparing apples and the entire vegetables category 😂
It’s not about popularity, it’s about impact. The iPhone changed the game, and modern smartphones are a direct result of that. Android is great and all, but that’s a separate discussion.
I disagree, but with that being said I have had an android for over 10 years and wouldn't swith to an Apple.

what is not subjective?
Both have specific problems, and both borrow things from each other. I do prefer android, but I will say that apple has it's own target audience. I just believe Apple is definitely overrated, but effective. Android to me is simpler, and more cost effective for the user. Apple does music well, and some of the os design and features are cool. However, cool features and designs aren't enough to pay that insane price tag. At the end of the day, it's a preference. Choose what suits your lifestyle best.
Nobody who can afford an iPhone buys an android
in the US, iphone is majority and Android is mainly low end. In higher end segments such as college classrooms, I’ve seen ratios of 55:5 when there was a poll
