Technical program manager
In general, yes it is pretty doable. The harder jump is going directly into product management/technical product management since that usually is a more business/strategic position. technical program management is a little more schedules/timelines and the engineering background helps you with that as you adapt to unforeseen changes
Good to know. Longer term I do want to do
Product management. Currently transitioning into engineering

Just be prepared for a significant pay cut
And you have to let go of the details you won’t have time to troubleshoot. You’ll also get frustrated when you could have done the work faster or better but you had to delegate to someone else
