That's very interesting - what do you suppose the reason would be for the missing credits?
I haven’t been a CW/CD in a while, but properly crediting work has always been an issue and something people on projects dispute sometimes.
From what I have seen it’s been around for awhile, and giving proper credit is an issue for a lot of campaigns. I understand that a lot of people work on things, but it always was a sore spot that people get left out and then can’t really do anything about it for some reason or the other.
Wow really? I have never seen anything like this and I guess I shouldn't be surprised but I am. I just now how big of an issue not giving proper credit can cause so I surprised that nobody has made a bigger stink about this.
It feels like a purposeful move to obscure who’s making “minority” ads TBH. The more a U.S. press release drops the words “authentic” and “culture,” the fewer BIPOC names you’re going to see in the actual credits.
The European industry press insists on full credits, so if you go to their pages you’ll see them, and it’s always eye opening to see the huge gap in the PR language vs. who worked on the ad.
