This industry can be cliquey. Document everything and then set up a 1:1 with the coworker. Keep your tone factual and make the conversation open. Try to settle it in the 1:1 and if nothing changes after then you can loop in someone higher up.
Yeah sometimes it’s better to focus on yourself anyway, show your own strengths!
That’s such a tough situation, especially when the shift feels sudden. I’d say trust your gut—if it feels off, it probably is. One thing that’s helped me in similar situations is documenting things clearly (dates, comments, context) just in case you need to bring it up later. And definitely loop in your manager if it starts impacting your work or confidence.
Yeah having back ups for arguments is definitely smart. I don’t want to walk face first into a confrontation without proof.
