The big one for me is food. $15-$20 for lunch doesn't seem like much, but it adds up over a year. When I WFH, I almost never go out to eat. I need to get back to meal prepping so I don't do it on the days I'm in office either.

I tend to bring my lunch on days I go into the office and I never buy a coffee or anything like that, so it doesn't cost me in any food expenses. In fact, our office has snacks available that I wouldn't have at my house. But what does add up is my hour-long commute each way and all of the wear and tear on my car. That definitely adds up quite a lot!

Yep, agree. I usually don't spend more than 30$/month on snacks at the cafeteria but the car suffers
Yep, train ticket/ parking, breakfast, a lunch, and a coffee is easily over $50 in any large-ish city.

Commute is causing a big dent in savings! Basically, every other big company in Toronto is in person now. So the rush is crazy too.

I'm pretty good at not buying food when in the office but it's the difference in fuel prices for commuting that I find important.
