It's always smart to wait a few weeks while you wait to make sure you're happy at your new job and in a healthy environment. If for any reason it isn't a good fit, it's better to not have to update your LinkedIn again. Settle in first, then update. Congratulatioins, by the way!
My honest answer is that it doesn't matter. Your priority should just be on concentrating on doing a great job at the new position and enjoying that. If you've got a job there's no need to worry about LinkedIn, when you get to it, you'll get to it.
Just curious, you just landed what sounds like an awesome gig, why are you even thinking about social media? Please don't be offended are you trying to "keep.up.with the joneses" and appear more successful? I'm just trying to think why you'd go as far as to write on here about it to try and get "permission" to brag instead of just waiting and thinking about your new job and how you're going to excel at it..they hired you for a reason so most likely you're a great fit..that's people liking in the "real world".....oh yea and they like you so much they're going to pay you to come hang out with them every day!
Congratulations on your new position. Do not update your page for a few months. I say this, because most companies have a 90 day probationary period where they can terminate with or without cause. Also, you may dislike the job and duties.
Also, this gets you settled and comfortable of your responsibilities and so forth. You have time to build skill set you may not have on any former jobs.
Best of Luck! 😀

Congratulations. I usually wait until the week after I start.
After probation period
I would focus on getting accustomed to the new position and wait to change anything on LinkedIn until you know the job is a good fit. Congratulations on the new job and hope it works out.
Congratulations. I would just enjoy your new position and wait til on updating linkedin
Awesome and congrats! I agree that you might want to consider settling into your new role before updating your profile. Test drive your role for the duration of your probationary period. Wishing much success!
I am with others on this one, I usually wait until I have been there atleast a week to change my Linked in. But honestly you should do what you feel is best for you. If you want to update it then go ahead. Congratulations on the new role OP.
