I got a offer with to join in 35 days while my company NP is 60 days. I doubt my manager in current company will release me early. I have accepted the offer but after accepting I asked them to increase the joining date to accommodate 60 days but they told to resign and have your last working dates first then they will consider. In the fear, whether they will increase or not, Now already 23 days passed. What to do Now ?

Is it misleading to just look at Total Compensation from a $ dollar value/ Total Compensation seems to be much more subjective than base salary in terms of its value. Some factors might be:

RSUs granted on dollar value or by # of shares & stock price trends
Vesting schedule
strike price on ISOs & delta between strike price and real market value

For instance, most of value in Amazon's comp seems to be granted in years 3 & 4, but it's well known that most people last only 2 years max there.
