Bain & Company I got an offer as a senior consultant in Deloitte S&O, and have interviews coming up with MBB in Jan. Deloitte may not allow me to delay responding, so I might have to accept or decline the Deloitte offer before I can finish my MBB interviews. Any suggestions on what to do? Does anyone have any experience trying to delay offer response dates and start dates at Deloitte? If so would love to DM or just hear your thoughts here. Advice from anyone welcome

Why is it better to work in a product based company than a service based company like Capgemini, TCS etc?

Is it really that difficult to get hired for a federal job? I was interviewed for a GS12 job but never heard back, they still didn’t hire anyone and I didn’t get a rejection. I applied for another GS07 job, was accepted, I took it, but I believe I can do better. I have a master’s and have extra graduate research experience. I am still applying to new jobs but I was told it is impossible to move up the grade level now. Everyone is telling me to stick with the government. What are your thoughts?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients).
