I got my CoS a few days back. In that, the gross salary is mentioned as 48900 GBP. I calculated the in-hand salary here- www.thesalarycalculator.co.uk/salary.php, which is coming around 3100 GBP. First of all, is it correct?

I have never been to the UK, so just wondering if 3100 amount per month as mentioned above is correct, is that sufficient to live in an area like Nottingham? I am single, so won't be spending much on me but want to save money and send it to my family in India.

I've been a dental assistant for 11 years , and I think I'm done . I feel the pay is never enough and 9/10 we do the most work in the office . It's never commensurate to what we do and no matter how much experience you have your still 3-5$ more than someone fresh out of school . It's a skill I'm glad to know that I can always find work but the burnout for nothing isn't worth it. Can anyone relate

But got an offer from another company which I was interviewing for before joining here and they are offering a base of 45lpa. Now I am unsure how I convey this to my manager coz I want to stay here but at the same time I am salivating over this new offer and wish I get similar numbers here. Is it worth raising a discussion? If yes what would be a subtle way to do so?

I have joined hcl on 24 th sep 2021 and my last working day here is 18th May 2022.
Today I received my provisional full and final settlement and the payable amount is negative -11454. They are recovering the full AMPB amount which I got from September months.
I have heard from this platform only that hcl stopped the recovery police but still I got the negative fnf.
