I suppose one approach would be to think about where you'd like to work. Doing corporate work can be pretty boring after a career in news, though the money can be good and the pace is a lot more humane. Maybe switch things up and approach some non-profits if there's a cause you find interesting. Or apply to a corporation if you find their work interesting. Might as well start looking for something gratifying and broaden the search from there.
For a News background, you may really like the agency model. Agencies are always looking for earned media specialists.
Sounds like you have had a great career and a great resume! Congratulations!
It’s tough because very few gigs in PR will challenge you and maximize your talents like journalism does. You should definitely look around for new roles and consider what you want from a job & employer, but it’s also OK to run a lower, more sustainable gear.
Wow, you have had a great career so far. Have you thought about doing some freelance work? I would suggest looking on Upwork if you have any interest in that.
