I hate the job market. I hate going from employer to employer, hat in hand, asking for a job. I feel like Oliver Twist. I hate the glut of attorneys from federal layoffs. I hate cover letters. I hate resumes. I hate having door after door slam jn my face. I hate endless rounds of interviews.

Bottom line. I just want a job where I can be paid a reasonable wage and be reasonably happy. Why is this so damned hard?

Because providing an honest place to work requires too much effort and integrity. We’re in the age of “it’s not my business” and “f$&@ everybody!” It’s frustrating and we’re all dangling by a thread hoping to see light at the end of this never ending tunnel of employment. At the end of the day, everyone is screwed.

Hi,
Any plans opening Bangalore office from June?

I’m in big law and on the cusp of making the jump to in-house. It sounds like the company I just interviewed with is getting ready to make me an offer. It’s definitely going to be a pay cut coming from big law but I do get some nice equity in the company. Is the jump worth it? I’m so burnt out by big law and this seems like an awesome opportunity to help shape a newish company. Any tips on how to figure out if this is the right move for me?
